Replying To Condorman:  "Lads what anyone listening to David Brady on Today FM yesterday? It appears he's lost the run of himself entirely! He said Mayo not only needed to win but they needed to hammer the Rossies by 15 points!
Think that league title has gone to your heads lads."
That's unusual for DB to say things like that......

Why would they need to hammer them? I'm sure the majority of Mayo fans will take a nervy one point win if it means getting back into a first Connacht final since 2015 if offered it?

Be a tough game this evening, again Mayo be relying on the running game to get scores. Mayo forwards are ok, more hoping that they will come good, but there all markable and dont strike fear to any defence, none of them would ever need to be double marked. So that will always give opposition a chance.
If Mayo defence are at there best and Keegan and Durcan are attacking at full titlt then Mayo will win.
Plus Roscommon dont have anyone to match O Shea, who in fairness looks fitter more mobile so far this year.
Roscommon have no fear, no pressure and will have few tricks up there sleeves, 2 smiths will feature if not start.
Be a good game, i think a Mayo win and a goal be the difference.

Was hoping they would cut him off, but there David Bradys views not rest of the county. He likes his controversial statements, seems to be what all analysts are gone like but it works for them

Yes David Brady speaks for all Mayo fans. The man who gets paid to keep himself relevant in the media speaks for all of us. Just like chief mouth Vinnie Murphy speaks for all Dublin fans?

Maybe not all Mayo fans but he and his views are well represented in the Mayo fan base .

The national league champions should be beating the likes of Roscommon handy enough you'd think, 15 points is unlikely, bigger test will be Galway.

Absolutely. Most Mayo supporters are grand but ye have a large cohort who are the most deluded supporters I have ever met.

Great start for Roscommon. Exactly what the game needed from a neutral pov.

Mayo still look the better team for me and will win.

Someone needs to get a hold of Hennelly and tell him to launch those kick outs and forget about the short ones.

We're second best here tonight so far anyway.

Don't know about that. If your forwards can up their efficiency Mayo will be alright.

The Rossies have made the most of every chance they got but don't see it lasting.

Mayo physically stronger, getting on top at midfield too. Interesting 2nd half coming up.
