I'm sure they hit the wrong button by accident. Easy done.

Would have been no problems at all of it was reffed by an Ulster referee, I presume whoever was reffing this just doesn't understand Tyrone football.

Pure thuggery, cowards using sport to commit common assault.

When I read about 6 reds, 20 yellows and a black, I thought it was a strange snooker frame.

Anyone know how he was hit? Saw the pictures. It looks a bit more than a punch on the nose

Replying To essmac:  "Edendork tried something similar against Trillick's Mattie Donnelly last week. The common link is a certain former Derry manager now managing Stewartstown. Edendork were never pushover, but a recent spate of similar incidents following a managerial change is unlikely to be entirely coincidental."
Can you explain this? I'm lost.

Whatever happened it was obviously a game that got way too physical. Regardless of how it happened I hope Seán is ultimately ok and recovers soon. The man has a wife and family to take care of also.

Four thumbs down this time, I think they're confirming their original red thumbs, one for the original one and three or four for the reply... (I disagree with them by the way)

sure just like the intermediate match nothing will happen, just like you hear puntdits often say it was "good manly play" probably,or "the lad who did it was not that kind of player",or "he is a hard but fair player",or whatever.
the omertha which occurs when such incidents happen is as bad as the incidents themselves.nobody sees anything.
who cares about the fact that the subs ran on in that match on friday night,or that there were supporters hopping the fences.sure it is all part of the fun isnt it.
sickening.

We have the toughest clubs in the country, the matches are a free for all. Men are tramped on, punched, eye gouged regularly. Yet are county team wouldn't say boo to a mouse. I honestly think Tyrone county team are made up of the cleanest of footballers we have and the mad men don't get a sniff from Harte. But maybe he should let the odd one through.

Lol.

Yes, a county team of saints and angels.

He probably doesn't fancy playing every match with less players than the other team!:) Could be next year's tactic for taking down Dublin though!

Hopefully Seán makes a full recovery.

Some lads need to be reminded often that we all have work in the morning when they take the field.

As already pointed out above there were no straight reds in the game. The yellow card count was very high but almost all for cynical fouling and high tackles around the neck but nothing dangerous. Sean was caught in the face with a knee as he went for the ball. The lad that caught him was running for the same ball, Sean threw himself in to win the ball and got smashed. Hopefully theres a video out there somewhere of it as the lad that caught him was not to blame.

It's unfortunate that when posting the picture on twitter Sean didn't clarify that it was due to an accidental collision but maybe he did't think it neccessary. Colm got the line shortly afterwards. Wasn't the greatest game of football ever played but there'll be no suspensions coming out of it unlike the stewartstown/strabane game. I know there are plenty of people out there who love to bash the GAA and plenty of GAA people who love to give of about ulster/tyrone football but rather than jump on this story to promote your own narrative why not just wish Sean a speedy recovery. Same goes for Connor McAliskey who was badly injured against Ardboe last night - and before you all go nuts it was accidental also.
