What a first half , outstanding, great scores from distance, more kick passing than you normally see , pleasure to watch ,

Some game of football in Newbridge. End to end, no blanket defence and some great scores.

Great game, think Galway will just shade it in the end though.

Another ref not up to the job, I know it's not easy but he just disallowed a Galway goal for no reason other than maybe he'd just sent a Kildare man off. players deserve better.

Comer took about 11 steps ffs. clear as day why it was disallowed..

as for making it even for the red card, it was a red card... no complaints.

both decisions spot on. Hurson having a brilliant game

How many times do players over carry a few steps and not get penalised? he had 2 Kildare men fouling him as well, ridiculous decision, goal should have stood. I didn't say the red wasn't justified, but the ref was trying to make up for sending the man off all the same.

blatant black card offence ignored by the officials there near the end.

It was never going to be a goal you simply cant let a fella take 12 steps and allow the score. He was probably fouled so either free in or free out but definitely not a goal

How are you supposed to hop the ball or solo when there's 2 men fouling you? no way he took 12 steps either.
same old story with Kildare, close but no cigar.

Joanne Cantwell on RTE keeps saying Kildare are out but what if Kerry beat Monaghan, Galway beat Monaghan and Kildare beat Kerry? Isnt that 3 teams on 2 points and then scoring difference? She said it at the start also, if kerry/kildare lose they are out? She also said that a Galway win puts them through which isnt true either.

Comer over carried. free out.

Even if he was fouled when over carrying the ball you bring it back for the free, you can't just allow him to carry on and over carry cause he is being fouled. You either give the decision against comer for over carrying or you give a free in. You can't make up the rules and say ah yea he took millions of steps but he was being fouled so allow the goal sure, be grand.

for me, comer over carried and the ref was right to give the free out.

you can't know the ref was trying to make up for showing a red card. That paranoid nonsense is completely unfounded and holds no substance.

exactly.

it was either over carrying and a free out.

or it was a foul so a free in.

absolutely no goal though. correct to rule it out.

It's hard to hop or solo when you've 2 lads hanging off you. It was a clear free in.

he couldn't toe-to-hand or hop the ball because of the mauling he was getting

People go on about hurling snobs , we've just seen one of the best games of the year in football , fantastic long distance scores , bit of positivity wouldn't go a miss lads , hard luck to Kildare who were expected to be cannon fodder, nothing for moral victories but your going in the right way , as for Galway wins build confidence, they must be flying right now
