I don't know tbh , but as you know I've been around this forum from around 05/06 and old enough and ugly enough to take it. It actually doesn't bother me one bit. My only concern is that Meath football improves , Andy is the man to do this. There is no one more qualified who is not in a management position. And I bloody admire him for taking it on when he didn't have to, I thank home for that unreservedly. But cheers for the support Glasgow, means a lot :) royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 27/02/2017 20:49:49 1961835 Link 1 |
Royaldunne you do deserve an apology! Things did go over board and for my part I apologise ! We all want a decent Meath team ! So lets get together and sing of the same hym sheet

Look i guess there's no point in arguing with a Lad that's honest ...fair play to you for admitting your ugly and god love that good looking Dublin women of yours Declan :) But here is the thing..reason why we lost to Kildare ,louth, and Down because the manger is only a wet weekend in the Meath job..he is only six months in a job and he is trying to find out about his players weakness and strong points ! Mod has nothing to do with the now ! When Andy reviews the video tape of the Down match with the players and points out the fact that system failed because players were lazy and also not accurate and didn't knuckle down ! So when Andy asks a player after reviewing the down match "why did you not cover space" "why did you not help out in defence or attack " "why were you sloppy with your passing " And the player replies to Andy that" i made all them mistakes because its Mods faults he scarred me ! " Don't give the players any more excuses to be lazy...Mod didn't train the lads in Syria ! Anyways i am off to play some playstation 4 ;) WhyTheLongFace (Meath) - Posts: 876 - 27/02/2017 21:59:21 1961873 Link 8 |
GRAHAMC We are all on the same hyme sheet when we all want the best for Meath football. Some of us have strong views on how that might be brought about, and they might be different to any one s individual views .This forum is all about opinions, and it would become very boring if we all say the same thing just for the sake of it.... The person never was attacked . the views yes and that ok.

There's no need to apologise, but I appreciate the offer. I actually agree with u on many posts, and I have never giving you a thumbs down. Look we all want what's best for Meath, we may differ on our approach but our goal is the same. What do the say in companies together everyone achieves more :) royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 27/02/2017 22:09:54 1961877 Link 0 |
It's not as good as the PlayStation 3. Now let's argue about that :)

I cant see us winning this one COS most probably is not going to play. He was badly missed the last day even though he played he clearly was not right. Biggy is playing every other week he cant be in good shape either. That's our two best ball carriers and attacking players not working of 100%. Sheridan is not the answer ff. I can see Galway coping quiet well with anything we throw at them not optimistic. I Hope I am wrong. bobkarlgees (Meath) - Posts: 1263 - 28/02/2017 10:05:25 1961942 Link 0 |
Shane Mcentee almost certainly will be out too, not sure about the options on our bench to replace Shane and cillian, none would fill me with confidence anyway , our injured players like tobin newman harnan cant comeback soon enough

I think COS will play, he played for Moynalvey on Sunday, the problem with COS is he was probably our best performer in our first two league games this year so he will be focused on by the opposition and this is where other players need to step up. I know I have defended Brian Sheridan but I don't think he is the best option going forward but I think Newman is the only one that can come in and start ahead of him. Regarding Shane McEntee, is it injury or do you think he will be dropped?

I'd play Menton and Forde as the wing backs and tweak the midfield pairing from what is available. Doubt it will happen though :) GlasagusOr (Meath) - Posts: 1348 - 28/02/2017 11:54:04 1961997 Link 0 |
Considering a lot of injured players played for their clubs at the weekend, I assume their fit so this is what I would go for TakeYourPoints6 (Meath) - Posts: 230 - 28/02/2017 12:31:29 1962017 Link 0 |
Posted that message without finishing it by accident. Ironically I was just going to write AN Other for the other two FF positions as we simply don't have anyone good enough to play in there at the minute. I'd give Sean Tobin a go maybe TakeYourPoints6 (Meath) - Posts: 230 - 28/02/2017 12:32:57 1962018 Link 0 |
He has played for blackhall in their last 2 games.

injury, seemed to pull his hamstring or a muscle in his calf in the second half against down, highly unlikely given the lack of options that he'd be dropped

yeh i was delighted to see that, james mcentee and harnan played for their clubs too and both scored goals, iv no idea did newman play for kilmainham, they drew with ultans at the weekend

He didn't last long in the Moynalvey game though - I think he came off after 20 minutes or so. Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me to see him starting against Galway. I believe he is pretty much held together with pins and wires at this stage, so a small thing like a broken nose shouldn't hold him back for too long!

Looked like a hamstring injury, say out for a few games , he has been inconsistent but then so have most lads, I do think there is potential with him.
