100 Club Championship Appearances

I see a couple of Dunshaughlin lads - Richie Kealy and Ronan Gogan reached over 100 club championship appearances at adult level. Fair achievement. Doubt there's too many more with this?

I would say there are a few, some of the O Mahoneys elder brigade such as N Mc Keigue and Tones N Mc Loughlin are on the scene now for 16 years plus. 6 games a year gets you close to 100 and these lads play more than 6 with regular semi final and final appearances

Another player who I'd say has played over 100 championship games would be syddans Stephen Dillion. Has played for syddan for around 20 years.

Perhaps. I suppose Dunshaughlin's Leinster campaigns really added to the 100 caps. 3 years in Leinster and at times they played that Wicklow team 3 times each year I think.

if they played 8 times in 2 years and there were 5 draws then there were 3 victories......how can this be in 2 years ? did they play in another competition other than leinster championship ?

Also from 2003 to 2006 the Senior Championship was 2 groups of 8. So possible 10 champ games in them years

Looking at wikipedia, Blackhall Gaels played 39 championship games in 4 years in the early 2000's during their good run. Have they any veterans playing the last 12-15 years who'd rack up 100?

I would agree with you and add. When one mentions 100 championships games there is difference between 100 playing senior and 100 including lower grades. Now in terms of senior championships the guys with the most would have to come from clubs who won many senior championships and had a long career in the game at senior level. In terms of senior football I would guess that you would have a few guys who played for NOM in the 80's and early 90's as some of those guys would have won 7 plus titles. In hurling it would probably be Kilmessan where you may have guys maybe with who won 6 plus titles (1999-2013, maybe 1 pre 1999). To compete in a final you play many championships matches.

2000 is one year, 2001 is another year and 2002 is another year. Thats 3 years, Kerry won the all ireland in 2006 on September 17th and in 2007 on the 16th September. Would anyone be stupid enough to say they won 2 all ireland in one year ????

I think you need to get a life. I just stated dunshaughlin played rathnew 8 times in 2 years which they did. Autumn 2000 3 times autumn 2001 3 times and autumn 2002 thats 8 times in two years now we all know its over 3 seasons but all games took place within 2 years that was my point.
