Replying To hurlit:  "think some lads are getting carried away
our inter champs are playing in a champ that has performed as bad as our senoir footballers
just because ratoath are a decent team does not mean they should be playing at a higher level, they would be bet out the gate at inter
they just about won yesterday, again a inter team from another county, lets not get carried away
there something about ratoath people and getting carried away with the teams ability just like the footballers
kiltale played like the team they are yesterday, fast skilfull hurling,
but they will come up again a top class team from kk as normall
no reason why they cant beat them , they can give anybody a game on the day"
Good man you make sure you don't give any credit or support to a team representing the county, Jesus I wonder at some supporters in this county at times

Replying To Ratoath Royal:  "Yes.
The Leinster Club JHC consists of the Junior champions from Kilkenny and Dublin, the Wexford Intermediate B champions, the Intermediate champions from Meath, Offaly, Laois, Carlow, Westmeath, Wicklow and Kildare and the Senior champions from Louth and Longford.

People obviously haven't paid too much attention to the Meath's past representative's fortunes in the Leinster JHC if they're calling for the IHC winners to be upgraded. This is only the second year that the Meath Intermediate champions have won a game in Leinster (since Rathmolyon got to the final in 2012). Clann na nGael lost to the Offaly champions by 11 points last year while Dunderry were beaten by the Kilkenny Junior champions by over 30 points the previous years' competition."
A bit confusing to be honest, but impressive that Ratoath beat a team from Offaly who would be from the same grade!

Neither Wicklow or Kildare play in Leinster SHC. But Kildare do play in U21 proper

As far as I know, Kiltale will have to win the All Ireland club IHC in order for future representatives to participate in the club SHC. Westmeath and Carlow representatives won the All Ireland IHC in 2008 and 2012 respectively which is why their senior champions play in the Leinster SHC. Likewise, if the Offaly representatives were to win the club JHC, their intermediate champions would play in the IHC.

Do Kiltale play Carrickshock now from Kilkenny.
That will be a really tough one as Carrickshock probably are one of the best Kilkenny teams in this leinster intermediate championship since its inauguration in 2006/07. They have the 3 powers playing and played in a Kilkenny senior final I think in 2009 or 2010 maybe later. If Kiltale win this ive no doubt they will go on and win the all Ireland outright and Meath clubs will be playing in the senior next year.
Also Rathoath beating the Offaly intermediate champions clodaigh gaels was really impressive, Clodaigh Gaels were far and away the best offaly intermediate side this year and they racked up huge wins in Offaly including the final. People here are belittling this result but Offaly hurling was always regarded far stronger than Meath but this result shows that Meath hurling is definitely on the way back. If Kiltale go on and beat Crrickshock and win the leinster, it will be the best year for Meath hurling in many a year.

Very tough task for both Simonstown and Cilles this weekend. Simonstown's achievement has been incredible and the inevitable celebrations and loss of Nash coupled with facing an experienced Rhode away it just seems like a tough ask. Cilles almost exactly in the same boat. Away, unprecedented/club of the year level of success, retirements. Good luck to both teams hopefully will keep great years for them going

Jerseys you are right in a kinda way
But meath did enter u21 proper but fur some reason did not get into draw. You are right on Leinster club but as it is only 2017 that meath play in Leinster round robin SHC I would think that next year county champions in hurling will all. Be moved up a grade

No.
Again, the Meath senior hurling champions will have to win the All Ireland IHC before the following years' representatives will play in the club SHC. Clonkill of Westmeath and MLR of Carlow won the All Ireland Club IHC and that's why their representatives now ply their trade in the club SHC. It's not just a case of saying "We're now playing in the Leinster club SHC". If Kiltale do go on and win the All Ireland next year, then I'd assume the 2017 SHC winners will be in the Leinster Club SHC next season.

A lot of posters saying Simonstown played a beautiful brand of football in the county final. I couldn't understand this as I felt they only played with one or two forwards. I see Paschal Kellaghan thinks the same.....

"They are a very good outfit," said Kellaghan. "They play a defensive game and try and catch you on the counter attack.

"They put huge numbers behind the ball. It is very unlike a Colm O'Rourke team. They have some big men. They are the toughest we have faced in a while.

"It is a different team, they are very physical. They play 13 men behind the ball and it is a different challenge for us to try and cope with that.

Not sure about hurling but I think there's some Leinster Minor Football competition down in Carlow.

Really?

According to the Chronicle SOR may not play again this year they didn't go into detail though.

Only last week Shane left the door open to returning with Meath in an interview with the Indo, certainly didn't make any claims about not playing again this year and said a little pain was worth it to enjoy success, his status is somewhat confusing by the Chronicles reporting........
