Intermediate Final

Recent quote: 'If things get out of hand on a football pitch , its the referees , and umpires job to regain / maintain control' - Its not my experience as most of them will stand back and wait until the incident has come to a stop and then the ref in charge will interview 'sundry and all', then proceed to give out cards base on a linesman or umpire who may have been asleep standing up during the incident.

Congrats to St Colmcilles. Fully deserved.

Hard luck to Dunderry. Good solid team but hard to know if they can get back next year with poor forwards.

Colmcilles will be a great addition to senior.

Well done to the Cilles, the best team in Intermediate this year and deserved to win. Hard to know if they'll be fit for senior level though. Last year Ratoath walked to the title and struggled this year in senior so it could be about survival for the next few years until their younger talent from minor develops more

Well done cilles. Far better on the day.
Ronan was very good and gave good protection to full back line and chipped in with a great point.
They will have their work cut out next year but were a step ahead of the rest in the intermediate grade.
Dunderry just didn't have any cutting edge and overly reliant on frees for scores. When frees were missed, they didn't have anything else to offer.

Indeed, justice for biggy. And justice for fair play and better team by some distance.

It wont be easy staying up ....but I think if Cilles can remain afloat for 2/3 years in the grade they have enough underage coming through to make them a solid senior outfit in the very near future. Getting to 2 * Div 1 minor finals and 1 semi over the last three years is very healthy position to be in. Though a lot will depend on the likes of Niall Ronan, Robbie McCloskey, Ian Mullen and few other of the older lads staying put until the young guys develop and mature into the required standard. Also not sure if they should take the Leinster club too seriously.........Ratoath suffered this year with the distraction of that competition.

Hardly think that we struggled. We somehow contrived to lose against Summerhill (while missing a good chunk of the team) and weren't too far off getting a result off Donaghmore/Ashbourne. Dunboyne just steamrolled us with the wind in the first half and we easily beat both Pats and D/B.
Cilles will be fine next season.

Struggled in the sense that I really expected Ratoath to enter Senior with a bang. Think they will next year though. Classy outfit.

Leinster Club is by far the best way to bridge the gap from one grade to the next - main benefit being the residual fitness levels in January of a team training and playing matches until November compared to most clubs that finished up 8 weeks previous.

I'd imagine the playoff with Blackhall on Nov 8th will be their main priority as staying in Division 1 will be a big help come championship time next year.

Cilles could be optomistic about managing in Senior from looking at Ratoath's experience. Ratoath showed they had the players to win all their group matches. They won 2 and lost 3 they could have won if set up a bit better.

And Meath could win the all-Ireland if set up better

Justice for biggy.

Can you please ask yourself what justice.please I wish not to make this personal as we are dealing with a person who has feelings. So let's concern ourselves with the action. The player struck out the ref gave them a reday caRd. NO PROVACTION justify an action like that.this is not Street fighting it's a football pitch. The club attempt to take the matter into a hearing leads me to belive their executive where badly advised. Also how can we create a campaign out to try and defend the actions of somebody willing to do what they did. What message are we givento younger

Not sure why this is so but wht was graham reilly on the sideline during Inter final replay while he was suspended, have the rules changed or is it just that he is a county footballer so gets special treatment

He was provoked beyond belief, it back fired hugely on dunderry, what biggy did was a red card, however if the red/black/yellow cards that should have been given beforehand he would not have reacted the way he did.
By cilles still getting a draw with 14 men and going on to win with 15 convincingly it was justice/karma for the disgusting behaviour by some dunderry players. So yes justice for biggy.

Can anyone answer this? When your suspended are you allowed on the sideline?
