Semi finals this weekend, what's peoples thoughts;
Ratoath v Na Fianna - This will more than likely go down to a free fest with the ref that's assigned to game which will potentially suit na fianna better. Also who ever gives the most negative feedback to the referee will be in trouble too going by his past performances in games through the year. Na Fianna to take it by 2 or 3
Kilskyre/Moylagh v Gaeil Colmcille - Local derby, Kilskyre/Moylagh the form team going into game but Kells will be hard to beat and usually are hard to beat when the knock stage comes around. It will be very close, low scoring and physical but I'm going for a shock here with Kells to spring a surprise and reach another IHC final.

Bingo!
Kilskyre came good in the second half but Kells were atrocious after half time.
We'll have to improve on our wide count if we're going to prevail in the final. Should have been a much greater margin than two points.

As the chronicle asked would either finalist survive the senior grade.. honestly I'd have to say no

Well we may as well cancel the final then. Let NOM stay up because it's obviously a foregone conclusion, eh?

Ratoath should have beaten Dunderry two years ago in the semi final but for a last minute goal. Dunderry haven't exactly disgraced themselves in Senior since then and I'd argue that Ratoath have a better side than that year.
Whoever wins the final on Sunday may not go on to do great things in Senior, but there won't be much between them and the teams at the lower end of the SHC.

I'd say they could easily survive. There's nothing between the likes of Boardsmill, Dunderry, Clann na nGael etc. Since you only have to win one game to stay senior it's quite possible to stay up even if you're well off the pace of Kiltale, Kildalkey, Kilmessan etc.

cannot believe Na Fianna are out again. big shock witht the talent they have at their disposal.

Ratoath will be up against it in final. Kilskyre Moylagh strong favourites

Ratoath very good against Na Fianna. They have good spine to team and have plenty of pace. Na Fianna disappointing but a bit overrated by hurling people. Kilskyre/Moylagh played well against a terrible Gael Colmcille team. They're physical but have some fine hurlers also. I think Kilskyre/Moylagh will win by 5 points.

Result of the Ratoath game with Na Fianna was way tighter than the play suggested. Na Fianna missed a few, but Ratoath hit a lot of first and second half wides and had three very clear goal chances denied. They should have been out the gate at half-time.

I think Ratoath should win this. The the big wide pitch of Pairc Tailteann should suit them more as they are a young fast , fit team. I have seen all of there games this year and have been very impressed with them and feel they are ready to go up to senior. They possess far better forwards in my opinion then Kilskyre / Moylagh and if they cant get fast quick ball into them they will cause Kilskyre / Moylagh a lot of problems.

Agreed i saw ratoath v na fianna and was impressed with their forwards, a couple of defenders can be suspect at times but would put that down to nerves

the record of the intermediate teams promoted to senior has been good the last few years. Team promoted hasn't went straight back down in few years. Athboy performed when required and I wouldn't expect Navan to come straight back up. They are a poor team who have been struggling for the last few years in senior.

Huge congratulations to Ratoath on what was an emphatic victory in the end, couldn't make the game but the Ratoath forwards seemed to have clicked today, delighted the club now have senior representation in both codes, great day for the parish.
