I'd agree there. I was very critical of him after kildare game, and of Andy for leaving him on so long, and rightly critical too I think. But in his defence he came back well v Derry and has showed incredible character since that. He's improved and obviously is very strong mentally.

Well lads long time lurker first time poster. I've got a bad feeling about this game. Parallels to McGeeney's first game shock loss to Wicklow! Might not be a bad thing to lose and maybe take a run at the qualifiers. Alot of nonsense being spewed about putting it up to Dublin when there's potentially 2 games to get to that stage.

Stand is , might be lucky to get terrace tickets, but they have to also take into account season tickets, which they don't know how many wikk turn up, but u should get a terrace ticket, best of luck with it.

Well that's encouraging to hear, heard stands were sold out, due to accommodating season ticket holders. Good to hear people still have option,

7 changes from last year, makes you think.
Happy with that team. The bench will also be a lot stronger.

I have honestly never heard a Meath fan use the phrase it "might not be a bad thing to lose" to Louth.

Cheers lads. The longer terrace opposite the stand, that's the church end terrace isn't it? If I remember rightly from last year

14 out of 15 correct on my team prediction ;)

Fairly good team, not sure why Keogan is centre half back, would be a great position for him but I feel he is needed more at corner back. I wouldn't be surprised to see E. Wallace to changed for someone else on the day of the game, him and joey were much better coming off the bench in the league.

Prediction is we win comfortably. No disrespect intended to Louth.

Along expected lines as when you take injuries etc into consideration there is not many other options
Keogh an will play at 2 on burns and if we go with 2 up front I expect Reilly to drift out but am not over confident of 14 and 15 of winning there own ball
This will be tight and that will be disappointing as we beat them easy enough last year and while we supposed to be improved I am not that sure

Meath (SFC v Louth):

1 - Paddy O'Rourke (Skryne)
2 - Mickey Burke (Longwood)
3 - Conor McGill (Ratoath)
4 - Donnacha Tobin (Blackhall Gaels)
5 - Padraic Harnan (Moynalvey)
6 - Donal Keogan (Rathkenny)
7 - Shane McEntee (Dunboyne)
8 - Bryan Menton (Donaghmore/Ashbourne)
9 - Ronan Jones (Dunboyne)
10 - James McEntee (Curraha)
11 - Cillian O'Sullivan (Moynalvey)
12 - Eamon Wallace (Ratoath)
13 - Graham Reilly (St Colmcilles) Captain
14 - Bryan McMahon (Ratoath)
15 - Donal Lenihan (Dunboyne)

Exciting team wonder will D keoghan play at 6 ? I think he may well do if Mickey Burke is playing I couldn't see Tobin or Bukre playing in half back line. I would be happy to see Donal Keoghan playing further up the field. He will be a major attacking threat. Having said strange Andy would tinker with the full back line its been the most consistent, Mickey Burke should slot in no probs. great to see Jones start I know little about him. just from the Dublin game last year. And with Newman, J Wallace , Ruairi O'C, Flanagan Togher on the bench we still have some options.

good team had a feeling jones would start and newman would not. should have too much for louth. plenty of mobility in that midfield and interesting to see keoghan at 6 were he is good at launching attacks.

meath to win by 7-10 points.

jones was one of the best minors on the team a few years ago along with nash. he and menton may not be the greatest fielders of the ball.but both are strong runners, mobile and can get up and down well. important in the modern game imo.

Ah Ziggy, don't be telling he cant field the ball. Is there anyone in Meath that can catch ball anymore ?? Sure he will grow in to the role I am sure. He must have impressed in challenge matches to get a starting place.
