Thanks for that ,
Anyone expecting any shock selection on team?? Myself I dont think so, the only two positions id say up for debate is toher/jones and e Wallace / o'caillean. Apart from That team picks itself.

Team will be announced Friday morning 7am

I'm expecting a fairly routine selection as follows :
POR
Keoghan, McGill,D Tobin
S McEntee,Power,Harnan
Toher/Jones, Menton
O'Reilly,O'Sullivan, J McEntee/E Wallace
McMahon,Newman/S Tobin,Lenihan

That leaves three subs all ready selected and you'd expect Conlon and O'Coilean to be two more with Joey Wallace as 6th man up.

Its pretty amazing that its pretty much the same team/squad as MOD had last year and there's a lot more confidence in how they will do in championship 2017

Andy mentioned consistency on the meath page so i'd be expecting a consistent selection too and thats why the likes of Jones, Conlon won't start on Sunday. Mikey Newman if 90% fit is fully deserving of his place in the team and people judging him on prior years should give him the same chance as everyone got during the league to now where Andy has them playing individually and collectively to a much higher standard.

I'd expect only 2 out of McMahon, Newman and Lenihan to start. All 3 are best in the full forward line, and I just cant see McEntee playing a 3 man full forward line, unless he is feeling nostalgic. Lenihan is guaranteed to start, so my guess would be the McMahon would lose out, with Newman preferred for his free-taking ability. However that would need to be as good as it was when he first appeared on the scene.

I would be surprised to see either of the Wallaces start. I reckon the team could be :
O'Rourke
Keoghan
McGill
Tobin
S Mcentee
Power
Harnan
jones
Menton
Reilly
O'Sullivan
J McEntee
O'Coilean
Newman
Lenihan

Possibly Sean Tobin could be there though instead of either J McEntee or O'Coilean. I am usually fairly wrong on these things though!

I've been told its just show up on the day with the ticket and you'll get in. Then every game after that you'll get the email regarding getting your ticket

That's correct. The season ticket price includes first round of championship, so it is just a case of turning up and having it scanned. From there on its by email . Well that's how it was last number years unless its changed

Looking at this panel of players it's the first time in years that we're going to have a bench that can make an impact, Newman wallaces jones etc, o Dowd never had a strong bench which could of made a difference against Dublin 2013 Armagh 2014 Westmeath and Tyrone 2015 and Derry 2016, hopefully this is a sign of a change in fortunes hon the royals

Very true Royal.Legend O' Dowd was very unlucky with injuries (or maybe the injuries were as a result of bad training practises, who knows). This is shaping up for the strongest squad in a long time. Should be pretty easily dispose of what is in reality a pretty bad Louth team.

Hope we make a strong start on Sunday team was building nicely over the league. I'm still worried about our midfield we don't have a good high fielder so por s kick Outs have to find there man and we need to be on the breaking ball from the start. I don't think louth have the fire power to beat us. Strength is attack some very fast players dry day will suit us. Think the team is better trained better prepared and more motivated that it's been for a long time so defeat when it comes this year will be from a good team and it won't be louth could be a good summer not up to dubs level yet but we are slot closer than the last few years on the royal

Very good, seems one will have to be in place very early if we want to sit seeing as the stand is sold out

Yeah Brian...I think one thing you could say is that mod always picked the best players available...aside from the issue with forde

Andy seems to have no problem making switches quickly during the heat of battle.

Plus he seems to have good man management skills. Look at lenihan under Andy versus mod. Andy is whispering sweet nothings in donals ear every time he takes to the field and it's rubbing off on his confidence

I hope ye are right lads

I'm usually the most optimistic but I thought we could bate Kildare in the league ...look what happened...then I thought we would have down...cork shouldn't have let us back in the game

But ....this is Meath. This is the championship. And this is Andy's first season in charge...plenty of reasons to be optimistic but proceed with caution!

Yeah I think most people are going to proceed with a big dollop of caution!. especially after Cork struggled last weekend. But I am still optimistic
