Anyways I've had my say.
And unfortunately this will be a game i cant attend, my little miracle boy (born very premature) and spent nine weeks in hospital, and still has regular trips up to crumlin and into Mullingar, will be getting christened on Sunday, I had asked that it be 16 but due to some dude rising from the dead they wont permit it, I tried to explain that the royals last league match with possibilities of promotion was more important, however they were having none of it (typical westies attitude)
So I unfortunately cant go to Ennis but ill ne there in spirit, would appreciate updates from those there suns etc. Thanks.
Hon the Royal"
All the best to you and your young man royaldunne, we all love sport here but family should always be firmly first.

Best of luck with the christening royaldunne.

No chance you might hold out for September and use Sam Maguire cup when it crosses the Boyne and comes back to Meath?

That must be the second game you have missed now in the past couple of years, and you must be pushing for a half dozen games missed in the past 20 years - typical fair weather supporter!!

Did you not tell the priest that AndyMc is trying to work miracles with this team that would put anything from 2000 years ago to shame. Loaves and fishes, and water into wine is all very well, but building a team that could beat the Dubs, now that's a tough one!

Anyway enjoy the Christening on Sunday. As others have said, there is more to life than football, although it doesn't always seem that way. Just keep the radio with you at all times - you might be lucky and get 10 minutes of the match of LMFM, in between their extended coverage of the Louth game.

Sad to see this fine young lad suffer what must be every sportsman dreaded fear. However after trying to voice my concern earlier on this week on this form , My message didn't get by the editors however I again seek to express how disappointed with the facilities in Pairc Tailteann. If this injury occurred in most other sports grounds country wide , a stretcher would have been employed to remove the player from the playing field. Most of us supporters that witnessed Alan's unfortunate incident , then we're left in disbelief that the player had to hobble around the perimeter of the ground to get further treatment and watch his colleagues finish off Fermanagh.A sad day for me that as a genuine supporter that our County Board failed our players , any thoughts???

P.S Quick Recovery Alan, hope to see you back in the green & gold shortly.

Can anyone remember when we played Clare last? I don't think it's happened in my lifetime unless when we were in Division 3 recently.

It'll be a tough battle down there, we are not the best travelers but we can get a result I'm sure.

Anyone suggesting Reilly be dropped is mad at this stage. You have to realize that not every player is going to fight like a dog for every ball, you probably wouldn't want that. yes there is a level of commitment that is expected of everyone but there are lads you want throwing their weight around and best suited for that and graham is a lad who you don't want doing that too much but you do want him carrying the ball and getting onto passes. Considering it's only the league and the amount of football he's already played this year I don't mind if he's a bit more choosey about his battles on the field right now.

The match will be broadcast Clare FM on the web. Might be less biased than LMFM.......
All the best to the little one RD.

I think we played Clare back in the early 2000s. A year that we got relegated if I remember correctly.

I remember playing and loosing to Clare pre Boylan era , year and competition escape me, it might have been a challenge match but I think it was league circa 81/82.

Got to say Alan Ford statement would lift the heart, what a professional, what a inspiration.
It is terrible unfortunate what has happened to a fantastic young talented footballer. And the grace and determination he is showing should inspire all the other lads to put in 110% effort.
The attitude of players has changed dramatically under and, long may it continue.
Best wishes Alan and speedy recovery

That game in Ballinasloe was a league knock out match in 1992. We got beaten by Derry in the semi final and Clare went on to win Munster that year.

We played them in Navan in 99 and again in Ennis around then (probably 2000). We got a lucky win in Ennis with a late goal winning the game for us. If I remember correctly Ray Magee got the goal but I would have to check that,

Tunein Radio is what you need, if you haven't already got it on the phone. You will get pretty much every radio station (including ClareFM) on that. You can even pause it like you would do with the TV, so you don't miss a thing.
