From a great Kilberry GAA clan, Sean was a great supporter of Wolfe Tones and Meath teams. His late father Arthur was a former President and founding member of the Wolfe Tones club. His brothers, Gerry and Eamon, played with the club. Gerry won a Meath IFC medal in 1974 and was also a noted referee in the county.
