HL Div 3: Big win for Rathmolyon

Rathmolyon 1-23 Kilskyre/Moylagh 2-4

Rathmolyon got their Division 3 Hurling League campaign off to a winning start with a comfortable win over Kilskyre/Moylagh in perfect playing conditions in Rathmolyon.

The first half saw The Village swiftly clocking up scores with a tight defence and midfield feeding the ball into the forward line.  Kilskyre/Moylagh hit back with a goal from a penalty.   At the break The Village led by nine points on a scoreline of 0-16 to 1-4.

Rathmolyon didn't let their guard down and continued with their scoring in the second half.  

Cathal Regan hit an impressive 1-7 (3 from frees). Trevor Healy kept the pressure on the opposition's forwards while being ably supported by Robert Ennis and Davy Morgan. Ciaran Regan and Seán Howley kept the ball moving into the forwards with some great scores from Stephen and Kevin Mulligan, Joey Christie and Jamie Doonan.  

The Village  finished with a comprehensive win as we look forward to what this team can bring to the league.
