Patsy Mulholland of 16 Marian Park, Dundalk died at his home on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016, aged 72. As a very active member of the local community, he had a great love of hurling and immersed himself in the local Naomh Moninne club. A member of the club since its inception in the 1950s, he served Moninne as player, coach and manager and was also involved with Louth county teams. In recognition of his invaluable contribution to Naomh Moninne, the club appointed him to the position of honorary president. Patsy also took a very keen interest in the annual Poc Fada competition. Members of Naomh Moninne Hurling Club and the local hurling fraternity provided a Guard of Honour for Patsy's final journey from his home to St Joseph's Church, Fatima and the hurlers gave an emotional salute as his remains made their way to Brid a Crinn graveyard.
