Croke Park Stewards - 13 Like(s)
At last years all ireland there were many Limerick supporters who attempted to go on field manhandled and hurt by over aggressive stewards which some might say was their own fault but today Tom Parsons was prevented from joining the Mayo Panel by stewards who haven't a clue who he was ?? Two other incidents i spotted today, entering the ground at Davin End a woman with 2 children was having her ruck sack pulled apart by a very heavy handed inner city looking woman, apparently the supporter hadn't declared 2 cans of fanta in her bag and was getting the third degree in front of her frightened children. Before the hurling match a waterford slithor flew over the nets and a young lad towards the back of the stand managed to catch it, immediately some mad looking steward ran after him chasing him towards the back of stand before pulling slithor off the young lad , many people booed the steward but none challenged him as the steward looked as if he was only looking for someone to do a bit of martial arts on. If you didn't know any better you'd think the stewards were from some loyalist housing estate in Belfast ( maybe they are!), its true for Joe Brolly Croke Park has lost touch with the grassroots, these stewards might be appropriate at rock concerts in croke park but all this heavy handedness with average GAA supporters is gone ridiculous.

Anti GAA Agenda - 12 Like(s)
It seems every media outlet you turn to is bad mouthing the GAA , many in the Dublin media in particular live in some left wing cocoon and generally detest anything that resembles a traditional Ireland . They failed with all their surveys and twisting of the figures to stop senior intercounty but now they want to stop minor and other underage County fixtures . Not a word about under 17 league if ireland fixtures etc , it's just a attack on gaa dresses up as Covid concerns .

Limerick Victory Scenes - 12 Like(s)
Brilliant scenes in the Gaelic grounds after today's munster final , even surpassed the 2013 celebrations . Roscommon has similar scenes after Connacht final recently . These are days never to be forgotten by young and old . Why weren't Wexford allowed the same enjoyment today in Croke Park ?? Talking to limerick players they love days like today carried shoulder high off the field so don't give us that line . It seems some drama queens and health and safety job seekers are making mountains out of molehills and trying to create an ever boring sterile world for us all .

Plenty of priests did a lot of great work to, building parish halls, looking after the sick etc etc . Id 2 uncles in London who were on the streets and only for great work by irish priest's would have died long before they did. Of course there was bad eggs but there was a hell of a lot of good priests also .

The GAA And Taking The Knee. - 10 Like(s)
If we took the knee for black lives matters , then take the other knee for sexism , then lie on our backs for ageism. If we have energy left we then could play a match !

Armagh Vs Galway - 9 Like(s)
Armagh had a few players who were over the top in their tackling and antics off the ball but the eye gouger carried out one of the nastiest acts ever carried out in Croke park ( which is saying something ) - a minimum ten year ban for this client . Croke park should insist teams have seperate tunnels for matchs .

Why Are RTÉ Not Showing The Div 1&2 League Final Live? - 8 Like(s)
TG4 have covered the leagues for years when RTE never bothered, let them have their bigger days for league finals. im no expert in irish but ive two good eyes and enough Irish to enjoy it and maybe remember a few words from school days when i hear them! RTE are more interested in Rugby anyways and Leinsters match was priority last night and would have been today as well so they wouldbt be interested in league finals .

Oscars For Diving Goes To.. - 8 Like(s)

Replying To ExiledInWex:  "I said it before and say it again. It is "diving" when it is every other county, when it is your own the crowd will be roaring for a free no matter how the player hits the deck. Anybody being too self-righteous here needs to look at how they react the next time a referee waves his hands for a player to get up."
If i was manager of a team and one of my players feigned an injury, id take him straight away. Id prefer not to win than cheating. Equally anyone trash talking to an opponent about their family wouldnt be on my team or squad for that matter .

It's one thing Waterford giving a walkover but the way they speak about Antrim and people in the NORTH is very insulting . Waterford county board big believers in our island been partitioned.

No League Finals - A Joke - 7 Like(s)
Colm Cooper is correct stating no league finals is undermining the integrity of the competitions. Surely one extra match as a final could be facilitated?? The league of Ireland can play a 20 match season , surely to god we can complete a 5 match league schedule ffs. Are the GAA saving money on medals or what??

Watched Iggy Clarkes Laochra gael tonight , very good watch following on some other very good ones recently on Kieran Donaghy & Diarmuid Lyng . We own TNaG a great debt for these great shows they have consistently made over the past 10-15 years , they have given huge promotion of gaelic games with all their coverage far better than the more resourced national main stations.

Hurling Referees Destroying Hurling - 6 Like(s)
In today's Irish times there's an article by Babs Keating describing what many people thought that last Saturday nights referring was the worst ever . The game is been punctuated unnecessarily by blowing and blowing of frees for the most Micky mouse reasons . Last Sunday at cork and limerick wasn't much better with Patrick Horgan scoring 15 or 16 points from frees many of a highly dubious nature and the same at the other end for Gillane . Now they want to bring in a black card to create further drama ?? They will kill the game the way their going with their blowing and blowing and blowing of the most Micky mouse things .

No League Finals - A Joke - 6 Like(s)
Kerry and Dublin both winning today in league semi finals which should lead to a mouth watering final next week but the GAA falling over itself to be the most covid compliant group in the world ! The GAA the only sport where you enter a competition no team can win ? A joke

Roscommon Pitch Invasion ? - 5 Like(s)
To me and many others there was great scenes of emotion after yesterday's Connaught final and those memories will last forever for those on the pitch after game . Limerick had a similar outpouring of emotion after the 2013 munster final which is spoken about to this day . I hope whoever gets to win between Tipperary and Limerick in munster hurling final experiences the same in 2 weeks time but at group games this year the Munster council in its wisdom seems to have 200 stewards Croke Park style acting the heavy on any child or adult that thinks about going on field after match . I hope such killjoy sterile approach in many instances by non GAA people stewards isn't there on munster hurling final even if I do feel tipp will come out on top .

Mark O Sullivan Ex Cork Player Interview - 5 Like(s)

Replying To SaffronDon:  "I know, imagine lads wanting to be in peak condition for their sport. What's the world coming too! I dont know what sport he watches in Boston these days but All Irelands are still won by the most skilful teams. Current champions being a great example of that. Sounds like another standard ex player rant about how his era was the pinnacle and 'these lads today just wouldn't cut it' stuff. Yawn"
I dont know, all the forwards in my local club twenty years ago could have kicked points from 30 or 40 yards out. Nowadays only one of them can , the other five would run a marathon for you or twenty 100m sprints but cant kick a football only handpass it. The game has become characterless and boring. Dublin and Kerry and a few others can produce entertaining matchs but theres a heap of handpassing borefests played by fit men with very little excitement for anyone to watch bar they represent your parish . Gaelic Football is a great game to get super fit but rubbish to watch is my view.

It's all part of a general breakdown in law and order in ireland . You can give someone a beating on the street and nothing happens you so people think it's the same at sports events . Judges & free legal aid solicitors have a lot to answer for .

23 Championship Games This Weekend? - 5 Like(s)
23 senior championship games take place this weekend including the Hurling Joe Mcdonagh, Ring etc. If you want to pare it back you could say theres 11 hurling and football championship games in the provinces. How could RTE or any individual keep track of all these 11 games to be fair not to mind the 12 other hurling games ?? More evidence of a completely over the top crammed season.
