How on earth is football being prioritized at every opportunity the gaa gets the chance to do so ,in a sensible country Hurling would be well ahead of its very poor relation football,it's time for the sake of this great sport to build its own future along way away from the GAA ,

Total agree ,There are only 2 National Titles in hurling & there is absolutely no reason why they shouldn't be a celebration for winning any of them ,complete nonsense to say any different,a lot of idiots out there ,every other sport on earth win a title of some kind will celebrate,why do the GAA National leagues be different in that respect,congratulations Galway on a super performance at the worlds greatest sport

HURLING does not belong to the GAA , its goverened by it but the sport of HURLING long precedes the GAA & needs to fight for its own future Because the Gaelic Football Association Has failed miserably in putting this game where it should be & prioritising a crap sport like football that doesnt even belong on the same playing surface

i really hope Leitrim hurling can get the win in the Lory Meagher cup @ Croke Park ,They have struggled for a long time & are or where the weakest hurling county in Ireland up until this year i would say but hopefully this will be a huge boost for the hurling people of Leitrim ,i did hear Gortlettragh (spelling is wrong im sure) hurling team had folded ,which i really hope is not true ,From what i hear this is a nice Hurling Team ,Zak Moradi is very fast & quiet skilful at corner forward & also hurling with Thomas Davis in the dublin Intermediate Hurling championship ,they showed great heart coming back & almost pipping Fermanagh on the opening round & again two poor goals batted out by the Leitrim Goalkeeper ,cost them that result in Birmingham ,keeper played with a broken Thumb i heard ,not ideal ,LONG LIVE LEITRIM HURLING ,best of luck Clement Cunniffe ,Players & mentors on the day Leitrim Abu

what a load of tripe" Dublin Hurling is not Dublin Football,look at Dublin Hurling fixtures both league & championship ,they play almost all games away ,especially championship & shouldn't be compared to the football side of it ,so the only person talking TRIPE here is you ,go check your facts before you run your mouth ,Tipperary are no better than Dublin footballers now 3 home championship games in a row is a bloody joke ,I hope they get a good hammering soon ,

Galway are a lot better than what we seen today ,Tipperary dragged them into a dogfight & Galway fell for it & just came out on top ,should've won this by a lot more ,fair dues to Tipperary,they went down fighting

Further proof Wicklow are better Hurlers than football,what a fantastic win & boost for Hurling in Wicklow ,this team just continues to improve in every game ,surprising everyone including me ,Time now for the county board to prioritise Hurling in Wicklow & put their weight behind this team by creating more hurling clubs in the county

Yes is does ,The GAA has failed miserably in what they set out to do at the founding of the organisation & failed the principles with which they came into existence for in the 1st place ,I'm the 1st to admit that Ireland without the GAA & it's games would be a very different & not such a great place to be part of but to promote all sports equally has totally disappeared,the present GAA are in my eyes an absolute disaster ,I know it modern times it can be more challenging to keep an amateur organisation moving but in my eyes the GAA in Croke Park & further a field including my own county has failed Hurling & for that Should hang their heads in shame & go back to the drawing board & start all over again ,I wish that one day Longford,Louth ,Fermanagh ,Leitrim & other counties struggling for support in trying to get Hurling to the top table or at least a strong Club system in place to give every child a chance of Ireland's Jewel in the crown ,Hurling

I've said it at the start & now more so think that the Nicky Rackard is Derrys for the taken this year ,Derry are a level better than this &'fully expect them to win this & get Derry Hurling up & running again after a dismal last year ,More must be done for the underage though as the Celtic challenge & minor teams are taken heavy beatings at the moment which is simply not good for moral amongst the the future hurling generation

What a brilliant result to draw against Mayo & qualify for the Nicky Rackard Semi-Finals ,just brilliant,Mayo equally shocked @ not making the last 4 considering they must've been hot favorites to return to the Christy Ring tournament next season ,not sure what has happened to Mayo but take nothing away from Sligo ,there improvement this year with the step up into this division has been admirable ,delighted for Sligo Hurling ,keep up the Promotion & get more & more Clubs Hurling ,who knows how far you can take Hurling in the county ,Sligo Abù

Nice comment,I've just informed you & football at club level in Kilkenny & you still have the audacity to say I've cheek ,this is about hurling not football ,I would love to see hurling thriving in 32 counties not just the strongholds & after seeing the Louth Senior Hurlers play twice in fixtures over the last two years I don't see why they cannot go on another level or two even with 5 hurling clubs at present ,

I see Wicklow Celtic Challenge team withdrew from their fixture against Kilkenny Black this evening ,the very first team to withdraw from this competition,reason given was struggling to field a team ,This is a disgrace ,its reasons like this that make Wicklow a 2nd grade county going nowhere very fast,the attitude in the county towards hurling is nothing short of disgusting,how the hell can hurling develop when yee don't play these games ,culture change required in Wicklow towards hurling
