Kerry to vote on captaincy change

This year could be the last year that the Kerry captain comes from the county champions as a vote is to be held on a motion put forward to change the ruling.
For years the Kerry captain came from the county champions and this year it will be either Jack Sherwood or David Clifford that will lead the Kingdom into action following East Kerry’s county final win.
The motion put forward will urge clubs and divisional team to transfer the picking of the county senior football captain to the Kerry management.
The Beaufort club put forward the motion and if passed it will come into effect from 2021 onwards.
