Brian Hurley made a low-key return to competitive action over the weekend.
Having ripped his hamstring off the bone during a county training session in June, 2016, the Cork forward suffered a recurrence of that horrific injury on club duty in March of last year.
After a gruelling 13-month period of rehabilitation, 25-year-old Hurley made his return to action on Saturday night when he came off the bench in the second half and clipped over two frees as Castlehaven lost to local rivals O'Donovan Rossa in their West Cork championship opener in Rosscarbery.
