Declan Bonner has led the tributes to long-serving Donegal All-Ireland winner Leo McLoone who has brought the curtain down on his illustrious inter-county career.

“Leo has been a great servant for Donegal and Glenties and came back and won two more Ulster titles with Donegal in the past two years and worked very hard to stay in shape,” the manager outlined to the Irish Daily Star.

He added: “He was a real leader on and off the field and would never let you down and could always be relied on to win a dirty ball or score a vital point.”

Meanwhile, the Tir Chonaill boss revealed that midfielder Caolan McGonagle will miss this Sunday’s Allianz FL Division 1 trip to Navan after sustaining an injury in the round 1 draw with Mayo.
