Finally four games at home, not that our home record has been good. It's probably the shortest total miles I've had to do for a long time.

I could be wrong but i can't see us winning our first 4 games.

I predict we lose our first game and win all the others getting promoted with Tyrone.

We may just not bother playing in this division according to some of you.

Early prediction

4 home wins and 1 away win, good to see that we have 4 home games and with Meath and Fermanagh 2 of the away games its an easier schedule than last year.

Explain to me why I should think any different, You can be sure with the current panel division 3 is calling sad but true. Home or away I find it hard to pick up anymore points than I have and even I may well be doing Meath an injustice but the reason I have is that I think they along with Cavan will be relegated.

Why not just wait until the league commences. See what the panel is made up off then. We could have givney, keating & a few others back on the scene along with some new faces. Other counties may not perform as well as they have, may lose players thru injury/non commitment.
Did japan throw in the towel when paired with SA & say no point in us turning up for this match. Sport is funny. Win a game, get on a roll, can cause serious momentum. A lot of teams are of a same standard & points will be taken off everybody. Cut out silly red card errors, improve our forward play/movement/shooting - this would greatly improve our hopes. And if were beaten, fair enough. But enough of the doom & gloom & pessimism before a ball is even thrown up 3 months in the future.

you probably said the same thing last year mowbar and we didn't do too bad.

I think the tyrone game is the only one where I would say we would be expected to lose.
all other games could go either way.

Cavan are too negative and will slide back down to division 3.

whatever about Cavan being too negative, I would suggest some posters on here are too negative.
The above was posted in december last year.

Based on the most obvious criterion of most recent meetings would be one reason to think differently. So we lost to Tyrone, beat Derry, lost to Meath, lost to Armagh, beat Fermanagh, beat Laois and beat Galway. That's eight points. What are you basing your negativity, sorry I mean predictions on if not most recent form?

Skelling has to be Terry in disguise, casue no one else in the county could think that with Terry Hyland in charge that Cavan can get promotoed.

It's going to be very difficult to stay up with 5 points. My opinion is that we will need 6.
final table
Meath..... 10
Kildare....10
Galway......8
Roscommon...8
Laois.......6
Down........6
Cavan.......5
Westmeath...3

You mean nobody on this site. I'd say the panel of players believe it too.

Tell me so which of the games after the Tyrone game do you think we have no chance of winning or are you just here to moan rather than give your own opinion?

Once we manage to score in two halves against Tyrone will be an improvement in my eyes!! any idea whether there will be an opportunity to defend and retain the intercontinental cup? I think that will be a massive boost of confidence, along with a good run in the McKenna Cup, should set us up nicely for Ulster.

In any case lads, I heard the County Board are spending 55k on a new GPRS system for the team...according to my sources, it also includes a vital management tool, Terry will have a remote control on the side line, so if any players dare venture too far forward, Terry presses a button and the player gets an electric shock.

Speaking of same comments, I'll save you posting for six months by summarising as follows:

1. Cavan won the intercontinental cup
2. Tyrone kept Cavan scoreless for a full half of football in the McKenna Cup final
3. Terry = Bad
4. Seanie = Good
5. I swear I don't own the most cringeworthy facebook page ever.

Ha, I actually posted my post before I read yours and low and behold you got two of my five points in in this thread and the anti-Hyland one in the other.

Nothing if not predictable Dean.
