Replying To cavanblueman:  "Stop will ya, Killygarry had a chance to win a senior title last year and they blew up, they'll never get a chance at a senior title again for a long long time. They have as good as chance to beat the Gaels Thursday night as they'll ever have, no McKiernan and a few others missing but I still think the Gaels will have too much for them in terms of experience and footballing ability. Killygarry are a two trick pony, give it into the corner forwards (which they are slow in doing) and if that doesnt work, they have no plan b."
Too much experience? Wasn't much experience throwing away a 7 point lead

Replying To cavanblueman:  "Every dog has its day for sure, but its the results over the course that counts!

As for Ramor and the Gaels on the downward slide, you having a laugh, Ramor were senior champions in 2021, and a number of underage successes in the last few years. The Gaels are doing trojan work at underage, u15 championship winners last year, they'll be in the running for the minor championship this year and no doubt will get to a semi final of the senior championship."
I went in to watch this Cavan Gaels team who you say will reach the semifinals of the Championship. Killygarry were very poor in the first half but the Gaels really showed their age in the second half. They don't have any inside forwards to compete with the bigger teams and will need these U15's from last year to develop very quickly or they will find themselves in Intermediate in the very near future.

Cavanblueman you can add young Cian Keaney is the list of "tricks" for Killygarry

well the master got over the student last night. maybe a blessing jayo didnt get the manager role as his charges had little in the second half. killygarry have a habit of finishing striong and did a second half number on the gaels. less said about the first half the better. kickouts were frustrating in first half and got little change out of them but that game was won on the side line. killygarry subs came on at the right time and imapcted the game with young keaney lighting her up. jayos subs were too little too late I felt but killygarry defense kept great pressure on shooters. gaels still have some good players but they were wasteful in that second half. mckiernan is a big loss to them. alot of frustrated and angrey people leaving the stands !!
but I will not bother gloating. actions speak louder than words. two out of two lad and just the four point margin. train just rolling out of the platform.

What odds would you get on Cavan Gaels been relegated to the Intermediate Championship?

Cavan Gaels aren't fit and ran out of steam in the second half.

Credit where credit is due to be fair. Gaels should have been out of sight at half time had it not been for some wasteful shooting. The keeper is an issue for Killygarry and his kickouts cost them a lot of scores, they need to develop a kick out strategy fairly quickly, but to be fair to him, the outfield players didnt really provide him with many options.
There were a couple of turning points in the second half, Gaels were 4 pts up and Gaels gave an awful pass which was intercepted by Killygarry and they pulled it back to 3. They then pushed up on the Gaels kickout and started to win the some 50/50 balls, and the introduction of young Keaney I think caught the Gaels by surprise, his goal was fantastically taken for a lad so young and Killygarry were on top and never looked back. A lot of their bigger players started to play in the 2nd half and the Gaels had no answer. You'd have to wonder what the Gaels management team were at, substitutions were made too late, Corey from Monaghan too, they looked void of any ideas and the noticeable thing was that Killygarry seemed to have embedded many more younger players in their squad than the Gaels.

A fantastic footballer to be fair and I think he caught the Gaels unaware, but took his goal well and points well. But the Gaels shouldve been out of sight at half time to be fair only for wasteful shooting.

But I dont think Killygarry will get carried away, the last time they beat the Gaels in the Championship, they didnt win another game and survived a relegation battle.

Apparently at half time Terry said "lads it's Spurs"

Congratulations on Killygarry beating the Gaels for what was only the 3rd time in the history of their formation! I'm sure the Gaels are disappointed having been beaten by a division two side! and lets face it, the Gaels should've been out of reach by half time.

But, its a marathon, not a sprint, so lets see how both teams do in their next two matches, I'd wager on the Gaels going further in the Championship than Killygarry. Remember when Killygarry last beat the Gaels, they didnt win another game after that until their relegation battle.

Doubt the gaels are that disappointed, kind of use to it by now as they're a shadow of the successful gaels teams of the PAST. You say the gaels should have been out of reach at half time, if they were any good they would've been. Remember it's a Marathon not a sprint to half time. Just like horse racing all the best finish strong.
Hard to predict how either team will do next in a blind draw. If you head into the bookies I'm sure they will have no problem taking your bet.

Off to Paddy Powers with you so. Killygarry will win games but there's at least 3 teams this year that are superior. The Gaels could win their next two depending on the draw. You looking foolish as usual is the real entertainment tho.

Now Now.. That obviously hurt....

The gaels are an ageing team.. They've been to the well and came up short lately. yes you may be right about the next too games but there has been no regeneration fort a good few years now in the team. We've been looking at some of these lads for a while now and even if the gaels survive, big changes are needed ...

You may start putting up the flags and banners so and book the Kilmore for the breakfast morning.
Unfortunately when realism kicks in, Killygarry are a million miles away from winning a senior championship final, but maybe talk to your next opponents and they might share a tip or two!
Meanwhile, my old club were written off last week but are back on the points with a good win last night and with a few injured stars to come back, I wouldnt be surprised if they end up in a final!

A million miles away and in one last year? You haven't a clue lad.
Your obsession with killygarry is sad really.

He's trying to paint a picture that he's not from the Gaels, as someone asked before did Cavanblueman used to be Deanmartin?
