Ticket sales for the All-Ireland SHC semi-final between Limerick and Kilkenny are reported to be slow in the defending champion’s county.

On Saturday week, John Kiely’s charges and the Cats will do battle for a place in this year’s All-Ireland final.

Last Monday, tickets went on sale for the game and so far, there has been no rush in Limerick to snap them up.

It is still expected that there will be a crowd of around 60,000-65,000 at the game, but the uptake on tickets has certainly been slow moving.

Speaking to the Limerick Leader, Limerick based Centra owner James Ryan revealed that the county’s supporters have been in no rush to purchase tickets for the game.

“We had demand, but it wasn’t crazy. I think people are realistically saying with 80,000 seats on offer, they don’t have to run to the local shop to get them,” said Ryan. “Plus, it’s ten days out and it’s not a final.”
