Tributes have been flowing in for Sligo's Mark Breheny who announced his inter-county retirement this morning.
The St. Mary's clubman had the distinction of being the longest serving inter-county footballer in the country, having made his senior debut in an Allianz League match against Meath way back in October 2000.
Unbelievable servant to @sligogaa . Enjoy the retirement. Apt Jersey number for your last game v Meath. pic.twitter.com/wiBj2dg2FV

One of best examples ever in Gaelic football of a man who played football the right way for the right reasons and always with a smile - a smashing footballer, an outstanding role model and an outstanding guy... thanks for the memories and best of luck in everything @sligogaa https://t.co/eIoLWQQEA7
