Why Are RTÉ Not Showing The Div 1&2 League Final Live? - 10 Like(s)
Can all broadcasters please refrain from showing R Gallagher at any time on the sideline? I've had to watch him spit on his hands about 50 times today and struggled through my Sunday dinner as a result. Disgusting.

Replying To togoutlads:  "A hard won victory and fair play to players and management for doing the business up there, especially after all Armagh's rousing talk of getting us back for last year etc. After Rafferty's parading up the field all evening, with the fist in the air signalling while he carried the ball a couple of times, it was nice to see Tierney's fist in the air putting the ball past Rafferty into the net! A great win."
Good win for you last night 'up here' but I haven't a clue what you're talking about in terms of rousing talk etc - we have been desperate this year and most of us fully expected a defeat last night. We have no grudge against Galway - you're a great team so your post is pretty ignorant.

Replying To systematic:  "You are completely ridiculous. Did you even see the supposed row vs Derry in the league? You have to be joking. Also your memory is shocking, since the row with Mayo happened last year. If some lad is trying to come into the medical room where a Galway player is getting half time treatment, he's going to be pushed out, simple. You are literally saying move on - but lying about Galway incidents, trying to wind up Galway people. I'd say you're still a bit salty about the result!"
Not nice when your team is run down on public forums etc. It's real easy to spin stories / facts / dates whatever way you like. Just making a point - you'd better be squeaky clean tomorrow! All that aside, was devastated to lose against yourselves after having been well beat in the first 70 then seemingly winning it at the end but for a serious score from yourselves. Salty wouldn't be the word, met fantastic Galway supporters there and it's about time you were back at the table as a footballing county so good luck tomorrow.

Kerry V Tyrone. - 4 Like(s)
It appears this defeat really hurt a few Kerry fans! Fair play to Tyrone, took some lovely scores to win. I cannot believe the headline on main page - how the hell was that allowed?? Other media outlets jumping all over the Clifford yellow also. Can someone please post a link to the incident? On my viewing on tele - Clifford charges into the Tyrone player who then drags him to the ground? Harte 2nd yellow probably very harsh also but didn't see it. There are double-standards at play here.

Monaghan and Armagh. What a game of football. - 3 Like(s)
What a game. Armagh gave away an unforgivable lead then retreated right when the time to push on hit - so close yet so far once again for us. Well done to Monaghan after the terrible accident last night - played your hearts out - good luck in the final where you'll be very dangerous opposition.

Just to let you know lads - a couple of pundits opinions is not representative of Armagh supporters in general. The large majority thought our players were idiots to be actively involved in the 'melee' but also that it was 50/50 involving both teams equally. Here's to a great game tomorrow!

Will be cheering on Dublin for this one simply because I think they are deserved of the 5-in-a-row record - they are an amazing team!! Next year will be a different story though!! Here's to a great game and good luck to both teams!!

Replying To greysoil:  "No only saw this one - did Clifford put his hands around his neck?"
No. Clifford charges into his chest, Tyrone player wrestles him to the ground before any neck grabbing. I'm not condoning that of course, just merely pointing out that he does charge into the Tyrone man first, off the ball, which warrants a yellow and is a very silly thing to do when on a yellow.

Terrible stuff from Brannigan. It's an honour to play for your county at any level, no matter what way things are going in terms of success. Kilcoo should be part of the solution in Down, not part of the problem.

Something To Do Over The Christmas Break... - 3 Like(s)
So, I just thought, as things slow down for the festive period; I would put out a pretty obvious question for some discussion over the festive period. There has been some interesting managerial changes over the past couple of months and I personally think that next year will be very interesting. Ulster Champs: (Toughest to get right) I'm going to be bias and say Armagh... oh God... but it has to be a realistic goal for us with a few new classy lads in. (more than likely Tyrone or Donegal - we live in hope-what it's all about!!) Connacht: Mayo Munster: Kerry Leinster: Dublin (obviously) AI Champs: Kerry Cork are a rising power; Mayo always there; Tyrone I think always have huge talent (big county in north) but underestimate at peril!! For me, Kerry the greatest challengers. Dubs sheer class under Gavin. Without doing a Brolly on it: what a blueprint for how to play our national game - just unbelievable. Had the privilege to be at the drawn final this year - Dublin never panicked - were prepared for the scenario and did the business. Brilliant!!

Philip Jordan in the 03 AI final getting the cleanest player we have ever had sent off. He charged at Marsden who pushed him off in the chest - went down holding his face. Horrendous stuff which took a lot of the good out of the first AI for a super Tyrone team.

Surely there are enough men in Tyrone's huge panel to at least fulfill the fixture? Great experience for some of their fringe players?

Galway V Kerry All Ireland Final 2022 - 3 Like(s)
Can I just point out, to anyone in denial, today was a hugely defensive game with Kerry nullifying Galway's threat from early on, not coughing up any goal chances of note in the 2nd half. I thoroughly enjoyed the game but just pointing out that it's not just a certain part of the island that deploys defensive tactics.

Replying To TheUsername:  "Congrats to Kerry and to Ciarraí Mick, hope you enjoyed the game and the night pal. Championship felt a bit weird this year, like it was falling through stools. Think it was Kerry's year by default and you couldn't deny this one on consistency alone they were due this one given their record in the later stages, but I don't think the game has evolved very much recently in the last four or five years, Don't think there will be much in it amongst most counties in the next couple of years, a bit of luck on any given day will do it I think. Shane Walsh is a joy, player of the year for me."
Walsh had some game today alright. Can't agree on player of the year though - I don't think he even gets Galway player of the year.
