Munster final hero Michael Cussen has failed to force his way into the Cork starting XV for Sunday's All-Ireland football quarter-final against Kildare. Manager Conor Counihan has caused something of a surprise by announcing an unchanged line-up, meaning there is still no place for Cussen or fellow attacker James Masters, who both made telling contributions when introduced against Kerry. Derek Kavanagh has once again been named at full back with team captain Graham Canty continuing at midfield. Canty, who is expected to operate as a defensive sweeper, has made a full recovery from the knee injury that forced him to retire in the second half of the Munster final.
