The Late Ned Moriarty The death occurred after an illness of Edmund (Ned) Moriarty Thornhill Lawn Kilglass Mitchelstown on Saturday December 1. The late Ned, a member of the farming community, was very well known in the local and surrounding areas. He was also very popular in GAA circles, being a staunch member of the Galtee Gaels club down through the years. He was a member of the Galtee Rovers side that won the the county junior football championship in 1957. His popularity was borne out in the large and represented attendance at the removal on Sunday evening from his sons house in Kilglass to St Joseph's Church Kilbehenny and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday. Interment took place to this adjoining cemetery. To his wife Ann, sons Laurence, David, Edmund, Denis, Fanahan, daughter Henrietta, brother Jude, sisters Peggy, Kathleen, Nora and Sr Fanahan, son in law, daughters in law, sister in law, brothers in law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
