The Late Johnny O'Regan There was great sadness in our club and the surrounding area at the news of the death of Johnny O'Regan. Johnny was one of the vice President's of our club. He played with Shanballymore in the 1965 North Cork junior 'B' team who were victorious over Hazelwood. He won many trophies in numerous carnival tournaments. Johnny loved the carnivals and went in all the fancy dress parades either with the Ballinamona Group or as an individual. An event which was popular during the carnival week was a cycle race which Johnny won on a few occasions and his trophies were his pride and joy for these events.
