The Late Jimmy Carroll The death occurred of Jimmy Carroll, Knocklong, Co Limerick. The father of the famous hurling brothers, Mossie, Brian and Frankie, the deceased himself achieved considerable distinction on the hurling field. The late Jimmy Carroll won championship medals in three different counties, Wicklow, Wexford and Limerick. He was a member of the first Garry 'Bouncers' team to win a South junior hurling championship in 1955. A gentleman to his fingertips, the deceased spent many years as the hardware division manager at Herberstown Co Op stores in East Limerick.
