Cork legend Creedon dies
March 12, 2007
Cork GAA is mourning the passing of legendary hurling goalkeeper Dave Creedon, who was a member of the county's famous three-in-a-row team of the early 1950s.
The holder of four All-Ireland medals, Creedon is remembered for conceding just one goal in the Rebels' All-Ireland final victories of 1952, '53 and '54. He also won a National League medal in 1953 and garnered eight county senior hurling medals in the colours of Glen Rovers.
Among his team-mates at club and county level were Cork hurling greats Christy Ring and Jack Lynch.
May he rest in peace.
