2006 Cork senior hurling team captain Pat Mulcahy has been left out of the county panel to compete in this year's NHL. Mulcahy has not featured for the Rebels since being substituted in last year's All-Ireland SHC final against Kilkenny and speculation in the county in recent weeks has suggested that the 30 year old defender has decided to quit inter-county hurling. "Pat has not been involved with us but as far as we are aware he has not retired," Cork selector Martin Bowen stated however. "I don't exactly know what his position is but obviously we could not pick him when he was not involved up to now." Tweet
