The late Seamus O Cualain Regret had been expressed in Connemara on the death of Mr Seamus O Cualain of Glor na dTonn, An Spideal. The late Mr O Cualain taught for many year's at the local St Annin's National School, where he was also Principal. He took an active interest in Gaelic Games and community activities and took delight in the success achieved by many of his former pupils in sports and in other areas of life. He had a special affinity with the Rosscahill district and its people, and he often spoke of this. He also had a great knowledge of games involving Galway football and hurling teams over the years. Sympathy goes to his immediate family, in-laws, relatives and friends on their sad bereavement. His remains were removed to Cill Einne, An Spideal and the burial ceremonies took place to Reilig an Chnoic following the celebration Requiem Mass. In a tribute to the memory of Seamus O Cualain, his name was included in a minute's silence tribute at Croke Park. Solas na bhFlaithead da anam uasal. Courtesy of The Connacht Tribune 01/08/2006
