David Drake's hat-trick of goals helped Cork to a resounding 4-15 to 2-8 victory over Tipperary at Pairc Ui Rinn tonight.
Drake opened the scoring with a three-pointer in the third minute and he had bagged his second major within five minutes as the hosts led by 2-0 to 0-1.
The Leesiders took an eight-points advantage into the interval, 2-6 to 0-4.
Mark Sugrue chipped in with the third goal shortly after the restart and Michael Sheedy and Kieran Morris gave the Premier County something to cheer about as they bagged a couple of consolation goals.
Fittingly, Drake completed his hat-trick three minutes from time - how's that for symmetry? - as the Rebel County easily captured the silverware.
