Sideline tickets go on sale

August 20, 2010
The 2,000 pitch-side tickets, which were initially held back due to security measures, have been put on general sale due to massive demand ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland football semi-final.

In recent weeks, the first three rows of the Hogan, Cusack and Davin stands at Croke Park have been off limits to spectators as part of the GAA's measure to prevent pitch invasions. But due to the huge interest in Sunday's game between Dublin and Cork, which is expected to be close to an 82,300 sell-out, the additional tickets have now gone on sale.

Hill 16 is already sold out, while some tickets are available for other parts of the ground.

Sunday is the last game before the nine-foot barrier will be erected in front of Hill 16 ahead of Sunday week's second All-Ireland football semi-final between Down and Kildare, and the All-Ireland finals next month.
