Canty and Sheehan named in Cork line-up

Cork's Graham Canty
Injury concerns Graham Canty and Ciaran Sheehan have been named in the Cork team for Sunday's All-Ireland football semi-final against Dublin.

However, there is no guarantee that either will start with Cork manager Conor Counihan admitting yesterday that there may be last minute changes to his line-up. Canty tore his hamstring in the quarter-final win over Roscommon, while Sheehan sustained a knee injury in the same game. Both players have been undergoing intensive treatment in a bid to be fit and it remains to be seen if they will make it.

The team shows three changes from the Roscommon game with John Miskella coming in for his start of the championship at left corner back in place of Jamie O'Sullivan, Alan O'Connor starting in midfield in place of Derek Kavanagh and Donncha O'Connor replacing Colm O'Neill at top of the left. All three were introduced in the victory over the Connacht champions.

O'Connor, who played football with Lucan Sarsfields up to under 14 level before his family moved to West Cork, has got the nod over both Kavanagh and the long-serving Nicholas Murphy to partner Aidan Walsh in the middle.

Cork (SF v Dublin): A Quirke; R Carey, M Shields, J Miskella; N O'Leary, G Canty (captain), P Kissane; A O'Connor, A Walsh; P Kerrigan, P O'Neill, P Kelly; D Goulding, C Sheehan, D O'Connor.
