Wexford boss backs girls for camogie title

Wexford camogie manager JJ Doyle
Wexford camogie manager JJ Doyle has backed his side to lift the All-Ireland title when they take on either Cork or Galway next month.

Doyle's side booked their place in the decider following a seven-point win (3-12 to 1-11) over Leinster rivals Kilkenny last weekend.

And the Slaneysiders boss is confident that his side will have what it takes to get the better of either Cork or Galway - who meet at Semple Stadium this Sunday in a semi-final replay.

He told the Wexford People, "The drive in these girls is not something that I have ever experienced in any other team that I have played on or been involved with. You can train anyone you want but you can't train that drive and hunger.

"We sat down on December 20 last year to meet the girls and our goal was to get to, and win, the All-Ireland.

"When I look around that dressing room there are girls with one medal, there are others with none, and it will be a travesty if some of those girls didn't win more than one All-Ireland."
