The O'Donovan Rossa senior footballers' relegation play-off clash against Ilen Rovers has been confirmed for Sunday, June 21, at 3.30pm in Moneyvolihane, Castlehaven. The senior footballers maintained their position at the helm of the Kelleher Shield section 2 leaderboard by virtue of two successive league victories against Kiskeam and Naomh Ab·n respectively over the past week. Skibb defeated Kiskeam by five points on a 1-12 to 1-7 scoreline last Saturday evening. Colin Crowley notched the goal for Skibb. On Tuesday evening Skibb held off a determined challenge from Mid Cork outfit Naomh Ab·n to emerge victorious by two points on a 0-15 to 0-13 scoreline after a hard fought encounter. Team: Damien Long, Niall McCarthy jnr, Alan Tanner, Eddie Nealon, Flor Crowley, Donal O'Sullivan, Paddy Nealon, Pat Gilmore, Niall McCarthy snr, Ger Minihane, Conor McCarthy, Donal "g Hodnett, Rob McCarthy, Colin Crowley, Thomas Hegarty. Sub used: Daniel Hazel. The junior footballers' next league assignment is at home to Bantry on Wednesday, June 24. This game will complete the junior footballers league programme for the season. The junior hurlers have two league games remaining, away to Newcestown and at home to Kilbrittain. Conor McCarthy was a member of the Cork senior football panel that drew with Kerry in the Munster football semi-final clash played in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney, last Sunday. Alan Foley and Flor Crowley are in action for Carbery hurlers this Sunday aftenoon in their replayed first round senior championship clash against Carrigdhoun. This game is scheduled to start at 7.30pm in Enniskeane. There was no winner of the lotto draw which took place in McCarthy's Bar last Monday night for e5,250. The numbers drawn were 5, 12, 15 and 17. The consolation prize winner was John Evans.
