They are still going on. It's all about winning - second best is no good WHAT DOES THE WIN MEAN TO CLARE FOOTBALL? It was vital for all the players that played on Sunday to win. This win has united everyone. The bitterness that exists between clubs was not there. Much of the credit must go to manager John Maughan who has installed much self-belief in the side CAN YOU UPSET THE KERRY/CORK MONOPOLY IN MUNSTER NEXT SUMMER: Most definitely so. We got the favourable side of the draw. We go straight into the semi final and take on Tipperary or Waterford while Cork/Kerry and Limerick will be fighting it out OVERNIGHT, YOU ARE A BIG NAME. DID YOUR PERSONAL TALLY AGAINST LONGFORD SURPRISE YOU? Not really. Being a free taker, it's easy to work up a personal tally. But I look on my performance from a team point of view WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE ALL-IRELAND B SERIES? Fantastic. It has give hope to the so called weaker counties that wouldn't be ready for the big time. Look what it has done for Leitrim. Hopefully, it will do the same for us Taken from Hogan Stand magazine 29th November 1991 Vol 1 No 37
