David McInerney, Conor Ryan and Shane O'Donnell will make their Munster SHC debuts for Clare against Waterford on Sunday.
Tulla clubman McInerney starts at full back with Ryan (Cartloe) partnering Colm Galvin at midfield and O'Donnell is named at full forward. McInerney and Ryan were members of last year's All-Ireland U21 winning side, while O'Donnell from the Eire Og club in Ennis won't turn 19 until next month.
Manager Davy Fitzgerald has included eight of last year's successful U21s in his selection - McInerney, Ryan, Seadna Morey, Patrick O'Connor, Galvin, Tony Kelly, Paudge Collins and Conor McGrath.
Cian Dillon has failed to force his way into the starting XV, despite recovering from the hip injury that forced him to sit out the entire Allianz League.
