Kerry have earned a home Munster MFC semi-final against Waterford after struggling past Clare at Austin Stack Park on Saturday night.
Mickey Ned O'Sullivan's men laid the foundations for their success in the first half when they built up a 0-9 to 0-3 lead when favoured by the wind. Jack Savage and Conor Keane scored three points apiece, while Killian Spillane chipped in with two.
However, Clare staged a great second half comeback as scores from Eimhin Courtney, Paddy O'Malley and Barry Keating saw them reduce the gap to just two points, 0-9 to 0-11. But Kerry hit four late points, including two from Spillane, to seal a flattering six-point win.
