Eamon Fennessy was making no excuses after a rampant Waterford team dumped Clare out of the Munster MHC on Wednesday night.

Waterford cruised to a 4-18 to 1-10 victory in the Fraher Field re-fixture to set up a Munster semi-final against Cork on June 29.

"We knew coming down that Waterford were a fine team and we had our homework done on them, but we just never seemed to get going," the Banner boss explained to the Clare Champion.

"All I can say is that any of the lads that went out or the subs that came in didn't put in a jersey to play badly. It just didn't happen for them on the night and that's one of the learning experiences they'll take away from today." Tweet
