April 26, 2013
Ballyea's reign as U21'A' hurling champions was ended by Sixmilebridge in last weekend's replay at Clarecastle.
Alex Morey shot 0-6 (0-2 from frees) as the 'Bridge prevailed by 1-13 to 0-14 to qualify for a final meeting with Clonlara on Sunday week at Cusack Park. The only goal was scored in the opening 10 minutes by Alan Mulready.
Meanwhile, Whitegate and Meelick will do battle for the U21 'C' hurling title at Cusack Park this evening (throw-in 6.30pm). Whitegate have played just one game en route to the decider against Parteen, having received a walkover from the Banner in the quarter-final.
