Mulqueen focused on Waterford
April 19, 2013
Selector Louis Mulqueen was already turning his thoughts to Waterford in the Munster SHC on June 9 after Clare's relegation playoff victory over Cork last Sunday.
"The focus from now will be on Waterford and the championship clash," he said in the Clare Champion.
"We need to look at more of our panel now and we need to speed up our hurling and get into championship mode. Last year Waterford beat us and we want to rectify that.
"It will be a big battle to reverse what went wrong in that game and in our first league game this season when they also beat us. They are an experienced team and they won't be easily beaten.
"We have many good young lads coming through. We had three 19-year-olds today and four U21s. With 60 per cent of our team under 20, that's progress."
