Baker takes up Antrim role
December 02, 2010
Offaly hurling manager Ollie Baker
Clare's former All-Ireland winning midfielder Ollie Baker has agreed to join the Antrim hurling management for 2011.
Baker, who is a Garda sergeant based in Tullamore, will link up manager Dinny Cahill who has also secured the services of Dublin-based coach David Kennedy for the coming season. Kennedy replaces former Cork All-Ireland winning trainer Jerry Wallis, who recently joined the new Limerick management set-up, which is headed up by Donal O'Grady.
A powerful midfielder, Baker won All-Ireland medals with Clare in 1995 and '97 before going on to act as a selector with the Banner County and Westmeath.
Dunloy's Gregory O'Kane, who is entering his second year as a selector, completes the Antrim management team.
