That is the challenge for Cavan following our under 21 success to date - who knows, an all ireland title may be weeks away to add to three ulster titles in succession. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5331 - 11/04/2013 21:51:40 1366309 Link 0 |

thats an excellent piece allright. The one thing I see in common with all those under-21 teams that produced successfull seniors was that they actually WON the all-ireland as wel as provincial titles. So Cavan know what they have to do. Go and win the all-ireland or at least get to the final. What wasn't mentioned in the article was that the last time Cavan won an ulster championship in 1997 they had a few members of the previous years ulster under-21 championship winning side that had narrowly lost to Kerry in the all-ireland final. So if Cavan Don't improve at senior level in the next few years it will be surprising. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5524 - 12/04/2013 09:08:40 1366331 Link 0 |

Interesting article, but the common factor involved for all those teams is an All Ireland title. Please God, oh please God we can win it this year, it will really crown it all off. It's proved elusive so far, 2011 I think we may have been a bit shell shocked in Croker, the size of the field didn't suit our game plan at all, last year the defeat to Roscommon was fair and square, but I think we're capable of going on better this time. The size of the field in Croke Park is roughly the same as Breffni... Fat Boy (Cavan) - Posts: 372 - 12/04/2013 10:27:37 1366380 Link 0 |
