1079417 Well Sean they won the last two league games with the same defence playing then he changed it all for the Championship and included new untried players !! That did not make sense to many of us and as it turned out we were right !! What do you think ? Cavan_Slasher , 03/12/2011 at 14:32
When I asked you do you think it was not broken ? if you are happy thinking as you do there is nothing I can say to change your mind. If players are injured or unavailable drastic decisions have to be made. Last years league is over we can but look forward but sadly it will not be as it should have been going forward the way things are panning out.
Who was unavailable or injured Sean ? To my knowledge there were no injuries or people unavailable !! Maybe you have some other information unknown to me !!

There were no injuries as far as i remember but the backline got a total overhaul for the championship. Using Murray as a sweeper against the most defensive team in the country was bad enough but to use Murray as a forward in the Longford game and take him off after 18 minutes shows the management are making it up as they go along. Budding underage talent HAS to be used right or young players will loose intrest very quickly

1079123 Look RHF the tatics on the day against Donegal and the way Murray was used was nothing short of amateurish for a game we had 8 months to prepare for. My point is why would they be any better this year? You just don't get it. It's fine giving management the benefit of the doubt but and the end of the day they have to show that they know what they are at. And they haven't. It's make it up as you go along tactics and next year will be no different .. If you look back to the last 2 league games we won, 5/6 backs were the same for both matches. Total backline change bar 1 for the championship and we get hammered. Where's the logic in that?? richiej , 02/12/2011 at 15:15
Do you think that its possible that the management had to deal with injuries or does this not happen. If the news I just heard is true a few of you fellows will be very happy ?
Best wishes to Beefer. hope he makes a speedy recovery. Football takes a back seat when it comes to someone being ill. And NO SEAN O RINN NEWS LIKE THAT DOESNT MAKE ANY POSTERS HERE HAPPY. THERE NO NEED TO SHOW YOUR LEVEL OF IGNORANCE. THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN GAA

With all the talk of the 5 or six players ommitted from the panel this year why has nobody mentioned Martin Cahill. MMy information may not be correct but was he not captain 2/3 years ago? Anybody have any idea why he was dropped?

SEanoroinn,
Well if they were malingering then why were we not told about that just like we were not told about any of them being injured ? Were things that bad really? I think you have no real answers and you are just making excuses for inept management !!

I did not say they were malingering I used the word after you stated there was no injuries and as you seem to know this for fact I quoted the above.

If you look hard enough Slasher you will unearth some mistakes and when you do you should let fly as I'm sure you will.
The management team should be infallible and so the merest hint of a mistake should result in instant dismissal
The all will be put to rights

For a Cork man I show Cavan management a lot more respect that you and yours do.
If my supporting the management gets us to an All Ireland thats even better.

Sean o Rinn I will show the management respect when they prove they can manage. On this years results they haven't proved that.

So were they training in the days prior to the Donegal game then Sean? Surely you know and you working in Breffni Park !! Don't forget blindly supporting the manager just because he is the manager can be seen as sheepish !! I prefer to know what i'm loyal to and not follow blindly !!

I am not at liberty to say but I am following this manager because I know he has the right intentions. Every manager except three I have fully supported over the last 30 years or so. Not bad
