10 under u21s on the senior panel... was only to be expected!! most be sicking for the lads that were there all year to be droped come championship time!! dont understand how Nial McKiearn made it... sure he was the 4th choice midfielder for the u21s and yet gets on the senior panel....

Topper Niall wasn't missing out on gametime because of Ability,he missed a training or 3 at the start of the year and the other lads kept performing well so it wasn't fair to take them out for him!Presumably he's been training well the last few months if he's been drafted into the senior squad, good footballer!

Just seen the Championship squad. My own club Ballinagh have gone from 5 respresentatives to just the two, Niall McDermott and Patrick Carrol. Im surprised at Gaynor not getting much of a chance following the league as he only came into form at the end. Also why is podge ommitted? He played all the league games. Apart from that no real surprises, good to see the u21s getting recognition and that its only the older ones getting called in. Fergal Flanagan and Jack Brady are too young to be brought in.

Yes, was expected and perhaps there could have been even more u21s in on it only I know there are quite a few travelling this summer. Daragh tighe, Niall smith in particular. Im excited at the potential of this team in two or three years. I know Jack Brady and Feargal flanagan are young, but they probably wont feature and will learn more being in and around the team rather than sitting at home as terry says. So thats the final panel then? Can there be any changes made to it if anyone gets injured?

A few names there I wouldn't of expected to see. Is Pauric O'Reilly not injured at present?

His brother Niall was on the training panel, didnt feature in the league however. Who was the sub-keeper during the league? I cant remember, was it Alan. Also where's Alan Clarke gone. He was one of the few i would of kept from last year. Is Pierson not fit yet. Did he play at the weekend for Gowna?

I did Con but it also says Walsh is out because of his back, yet he played a full club game last weekend showing no ill effects. Walsh was never on the panel AFAIK so it just looks like lazy journalism Pierson also played against Longford in the opening of the pitch last week so im looking for an update on his current condition.

Great to see 5 of my own club mates on the pamel...and arthur the great why should'nt Mc kiernan and flanaghan not be on it??Word has it Mc Kiernan was'nt playing U21 due to commitment issues but maybe you were'nt in the country for the last year or so but surely he was one of the best young mid fileders in last years senior champioship??? and also young flanaghan played well for his club and is a strong physical presance around the middle sector of the field????

You'd be some manager. You don't get the spirit our lads showed by hoofing lads out of the team after doing nothing wrong just to let some lad that was missing trainings play!

lucky one does not have to depend on them getting our bread and butter. How anyone in their right mind can say the 10 U21 players that have been brought in are good must be watching other matches or listening to people for not many if any of these will make the senior grade. So prediction Cavan knocked out first match in Ulster and if they draw anyone in division 1,2 or three and even three teams in division 4 they have just two matches left for 2011

Nonsense baron, a manager must put out a team of lads he thinks are the best combination, and if that mean putting mckiernan of lacken ahead of the other mckiernan because of ability then thats how it should be done. Personally I think everyone would agree with me when I say Mick O'Reagen embarrassed our midfield in the semi final, and then Tom Flynn embarrassed the same midfield AGAIN in the final. Yet we stuck with it.

Disagree Slasher, this idea of just putting out the best players i'd say is the biggest factor after drinking and moving away from home why lads between the ages of 17 and 22 playing ball reduces dramatically! Lads busting their hole at training for months just for players of 30 year of age to stroll back in a week or 2 before the Championship and walk onto the team!
