McCaffrey, Philomena

July 30, 2005
The Late Philomena McCaffrey The people of Redhills and surrounding areas were saddened to hear of the untimely death of Philomena McCaffrey (nee Smith) of Cloncallick, Newtownbutler, which occurred 1st July. While Philomena had been in failing health for some time, her sudden death at such a relatively young age came as a great shock to her family and friends. A native of Mullinarragh, she worked for many years in the office at Cootehill Mart and in more recent times with the North Eastern Health Board. A friendly and very popular person, Gaelic games supporter and served in past years as secretary of Cavan Camogie Board and also as secretary of Currin GFC. We extend our sincere sympathy to her husband, Eddie to her sons Aidan and Niall, to her mother Maggie, to her sister Martha Moane, (Newtownbutler), to her brothers Kevin and Gerry (Mullinarragh) and also her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and to all her other relatives and friends. Father John Kearns and Father Oliver O'Reilly concelebrated her Requiem Mass on Church of Saint Alphonsus Connons, and Philomena was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
