May 15, 2013The seniors Division 1B home league game with Cootehill was postponed last Sunday due to a waterlogged pitch. The seniors are scheduled to take on Redhills this Saturday evening May 18th in Rory O'Moore Park at 7pm. There is a possibility this match could be played at an earlier time and a different venue due to the bad weather so check out www.cavangaa.ie for any potential change to fixture.
Cavan Seniors
We wish our county representative and county vice-captain Damien O'Reilly who lines out at midfield this Sunday and the Cavan team and management the very best of luck in the Ulster Championship this Sunday May 19th when they take on Armagh in the preliminary round in Kingspan Breffni Park at 2pm.
Cavan Minors
We also wish the Cavan Minors well as they begin their Ulster Minor Championship campaign in the curtain raiser against Armagh at 12.15 p.m this Sunday May 19th in Kingspan Breffni Park.
2013 Reserve Championship
Belturbet have been paired alongside Ballyhaise, Crosserlough and Drumlane in Group 1 of the Reserve Division 1B Championship which will take place later on in the year.
125 Year/Gathering Celebrations
The Club's 125 year anniversary and gathering celebrations will take place over three days in July in Rory O'Moore Park with a special Palais Dome being erected under our theme 'Palais in the Park'. The events get underway on Friday July 5th and run until Sunday July 7th. We are hoping to attract club members, former players and people from the community who have emigrated or moved to other parts of the country to our three day celebration so please make all your friends and family relations aware of these dates. If anyone can offer any assistance in terms of tracing any people please get in touch with any of the club committee. There are a number of events planned for people of all ages including live music which will be provided by Anthony McBrien and John O'Grady along with many other acts. There are many exciting events planned some of which include a community based tea party along with a golf scramble so make sure to keep your weekend free to help us celebrate our gathering extravaganza. Belturbet U16's are at home to Cornafean in Division 3 of the U16 league tomorrow Thursday May 16th at 7.30 p.m. Referee: Chris McCaffrey.
U14's
The U14's are away to Denn in Division 2 of the league on Monday next May 20th at 7.30 p.m Referee: Martin Brady - Ballinagh.
