Seniors
The senior men maintained their 100% record in the league on Sunday, beating Swanlinbar in a close match. In wet and windy conditions, Swad started the brightest and made use of the wind at their backs in the first half to take a one point lead in with them at half time. The second half started scrappy and it took ten minutes before Austin Fitzpatrick opened the scoring. The leaguers pushed on from here and outscored the opposition four points to one in the next ten minutes. Swad Fought back, scoring two in a row but a Shane Murphy point kept daylight between the sides. As the match entered the closing stages, play became scrappy and tempers flared as each side registered one more score to leave the Leaguers eventual winners 0-10 to 0-08. There is no League match next weekend as Cavan begin their Ulster Championship Campaign against Armagh on Sunday in Breffni Park.
