Munterconnaught GFC Club Notes
May 08, 2013This is a great opportunity for players in all grades to get recognised for their performances during the year.
It started in Round 3 of the County League (all 4 Divisions) and continues through to the end of the Championship (Senior, Intermediate & Junior).
The Judging panel pick players based on performance throughout the year.
The Judging panel are from Geographical & Club ACFL/Championship status.
The Judging panel will adjust the player panel on a weekly/monthly basis.
The team of the month for April will be announced at the County Board Open Night on the 3G pitch in Breffni Park this Friday evening, May 10th.

THE GATHERING
The Munterconnaught Gathering took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
We had a very successful and enjoyable series of events, all of which were very well attended.
Special thanks to the organising committee and to all involved in setting up and running the events and to our main sponsors - Country Pine Furniture (Eighter, Virginia), Ramor Inn & Nord Tech (Padraig Finnegan).

CLUB MEETING
The next Club meeting takes place this Thursday, May 13th at 9 pm in the Clubrooms - all members are encouraged to attend.
SENIOR TEAM
ACFL DIVISION 2 - we lost out to Bailieboro by 3 - 10 to 1 - 07
Next match is at away to Laragh Utd this Saturday, May 11th at 6 pm followed by the Reserve match.
UNDERAGE
U-16 League - Division 2 2013
Round 4 - Ballymachugh v Blackwater Gaels - this Thursday, May 9th.
U-14 League - Division 2 2013
Round 4 - Munterconnaught v Butlersbridge - Monday, May 13th.
U-12 League - Zone 3 2013
Round 4 - defeated Mountnugent.
U-12 Blitz in Breffni Park (3G pitch) took place on Monday, May 6th - we played 3 matches, we beat Castlerahan, drew with Bailieboro & lost to Denn
U-10 Go Games
The 2nd Blitz was hosted in Crosserlough last Saturday, we played 3 games, won 1 & lost 2
U-6 to U-10 training every Sunday morning from 11:30 to 12:30

UNDERAGE HURLING
U-12 Training takes places every Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 6 pm in Munterconnaught GFC
U-8 Training takes place every Saturday from 12 to 1 pm in Ramor Utd.

YEARLY LOTTO
Yearly Lotto subscriptions are due.
€80 for a full year and €40 for 6 months.
Subscribers who have not renewed their subscription will not be eligible for the Lotto draws.

JUVENILE MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION
The membership fees are €25 for the 1st child, €15 for the 2nd child, €10 for the 3rd child - up to a maximum of €50 per family.
2013 MEMBERSHIP FEES
The 2013 membership fees are now due.
€20 for social membership, €25 for full membership - both of these options include the use of the Running Track.

PHOTOGRAPHS
The Club is building up a gallery of photographs of players, teams, mentors, etc. from the past and present that to be displayed in the Meeting Room. Please contact Declan Cooney, Noel McEnroe or Peter Erickson.
GUM SHIELDS/MOUTHGUARDS
A new directive is in place for all underage players to wear gum shields / mouth guards at all training sessions. No underage player will be allowed to play or train without a mouth guard.
HANDBALL
The Men's Singles tournament Final is between Jim Gilsenan and Vincent Mulvey - it will be played over the weekend of May 11th/12th.
